Brazil to face Netherlands in first Q-finals of FIFA WC

Today and tomorrow are rest days in the on-going World Cup Football tournament. Yesterday, Spain and Paraguay became the last two teams to enter the quarter-finals. While Spain beat Portugal one-nil, Paraguay defeated Japan 5-3 in penalty shoot-outs.The other six teams that have reached the last eight stage are Uruguay, Ghana, Argentina, Germany, the Netherlands and Brazil. The quarter-finals will be played on Friday and Saturday. In the first fixture on Friday, Brazil will meet the Netherlands in Port Elizabeth at 1930 hours.In the second match on the same day, Uruguay will face Ghana in Johannesburg at Midnight.In the third quarter-final on Saturday, Argentina will take on Germany in Cape Town, at 1930 hours.On the same day, the fourth quarter-final encounter, between Spain and Paraguay, will be held in Johannesburg at Midnight.
