The authorities in Brazil have cancelled a major global football convention which was to take place in the city of Rio de Janeiro later this month. The Chief Executive of Soccer X blamed continuing civil unrest. But, the State Governor of Rio where the World Cup is to be held next year, strongly denied that the security was the cause. He said, it is clearly a financial decision because they do not want to sponsor this event.
