In Copa America, Brazil and Venezuela have become the first two teams to enter the quarter-finals.
Both teams won their third and final Group-A matches last night to advance to the last-eight stage. At Sao Paulo, hosts Brazil thrashed Peru, five-nil to finish at the top of the Pool.
Casemiro, Roberto Firmino, Everton Soares, Dani Alves and Willian found the net for the hosts to keep them on track for their first Copa title since 2007. In the game, Gabriel Jesus missed a penalty in stoppage time.
In the other game at Minas Gerais, Venezuela got the better of Bolivia, three-one to end second in the group. Darwin Machis scored a brace for Venezuela, with Josef Martinez being the other goal scorer. Leonel Justiniano Arauz scored Bolivia's only goal.
In today's final Group-B matches, Argentina will face Qatar at Porto Alegre, with Colombia taking on Paraguay at Salvador.
Both matches will kick off at 12:30 AM. Colombia has already made it to the quarter-finals from Pool-B, while the remaining berth will be decided tonight.
