In Himachal Pradesh, Brahmi Devi, wife of George Cross winner Naik Kripa Ram has demanded intervention of the Centre to stop the auction of highest gallantry award awarded to her husband by the British Govt in 1947. This auction is proposed to be held in london after a few days on 2nd December. Brahmi Devi is in great shock after she heard about the bravery medal has been listed in the lot to be auctioned by Dix Noonan Webb Limited (DNW), United Kingdom’s leading specialist auctioneers and valuers of coins and medals. The medal was stolen in February 3, 2002 from Shimla.<br/>
