Brahmaputra, other rivers flowing above danger mark in Assam

In Assam, the Brahmaputra and its a few tributaries are flowing above the danger level.

Official sources said that at least 18 revenue circles of 6 districts are reeling under the fury of flood, which have also inundated agriculture land.

Around 3 lakh people in 480 villages have been affected due to surging waters.

Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts are badly affected.

Flood affected people have taken shelter at higher and safer places.

Flood waters have also submerged parts of Kaziranga national park. Administration has barred all vehicles plying on National Highways 37 from exceeding speed limits of 40 kilometre per hour to save the inhabitants of the park.
