The Thomas and Uber Cup Badminton tournament began at the Sirifort Sports Complex in New Delhi this morning. This is the 28th edition of Thomas Cup, or the Men's Team Championships, and the 25th edition of Uber Cup, or the Women's Team Championships. Touted as the World Cup of Badminton, this is the first time the tournament has come to India.Today, Indian Men's team will clash with Malaysia, while the Indian Women's team will take on Canada.P. Kashyap-led Indian team has been clubbed with Malaysia, South Korea and Germany in the Thomas Cup, while in the Uber Cup, India led by Saina Nehwal has been placed alongside Thailand, Canada and Hong Kong.
