The Gauhati High Court has stayed till Monday Nagaland Governor PB Acharya's directive to Chief Minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu to seek a trust vote in the Assembly by today. The Kohima bench of the High Court yesterday stayed the Governor's order on a plea by Mr Liezietsu and posted the matter for further hearing on Monday. Our correspondent reports that in a letter to the Chief Minister, the Governor had said, Mr Lieziesu did not deny the claims of Mr TR Zeliang that he enjoys the support of 44 MLAs in a house of 59.
