<br/><br/>Tri-nation invitational tournament: Indian men's hockey team lose to Spain in final

The Indian men&apos;s hockey team lost 1-2 to hosts Spain in the final league match of the tri-nation invitational tournament at Santander yesterday. At half-time, the teams were goal-less.After the breather, Spain took advantage of vice-captain Sardar Singh&apos;s injury, who was off the field for nearly 20 minutes. The hosts scored in the 42nd minute through a penalty corner converted by Alegre. Another penlaty corner goal came through Miquel Delas in the 61st minute.For India, V R Raghunath reduced the margin by converting a penalty corner in the 64th minute.Great Britain won the tournament with two victories while Spain finished second.The Indian team will leave Spain for the Olympic Games in London tomorrow.
