Bangladesh will as scheduled host the next Asia Cup which starts in February. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Asian Cricket Council, ACC, in Colombo today. Briefing the media, ACC chief executive officer Ashraful Haque said that there will be no change in the venue. He added that Afghanistan will also participate in the tournament that will see 11 matches. There were some concerns regarding hosting of the event in Bangladesh due to political turmoil in the country. Sri Lanka had offered to host the event in case it was shifted from Bangladesh.
