Boxing star Nikhat Zareen has stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of the Women's World Championships in New Delhi. Nikhat blew away Algeria's Boualam Roumaysa to secure the pre-quarters berth in the 50kg event. Nikhat downed the reigning African champion by a 5-0 unanimous verdict. The win was Nikhat's second in the tournament.
 
Last edition's bronze medallist Manisha Maun (57kg) too advanced to the round of 16 with a 5-0 win against Rahimi Tina of Australia.
