Indian boxer Satish Kumar has entered the semifinals of the Asian Championship in plus 91 kg weight category being held at Bangkok. In the process Satish ensured a medal and also became fourth Indian boxer to book a World Championship berth. In quarterfinals Satish outpunched Tajikistan's Siyovush Zukhurov and was awarded a win via Technical Knockout.Other Indians in Asian Championship who entered the last four stage and a place in the World Championships are L Devendro Singh in 49kg, Shiva Thapa in 56kg and Vikas Krishan in 75kg. The World Championships to be held in Doha this October are the first qualifying event for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
