Both the NDA and the UPA Presidential candidates on Saturday were on a campaign trail in Chennai today. The NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind visited the city in a special aircraft this noon and was first met by the Puducherry Union Territory former chief minister N.Rengasamy. <br/><br/>The NR Congress leader assured Mr Kovind of the support of his party's eight MLAs. Mr Kovind met the ruling and larger faction of the AIADMK led by the state chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy, who assured him of the party's un-stinted support. Mr Kovind also met the AIADMK PTA party's 11 MLAs and 12 MPs, who also pledged their unconditional support to him. <br/> <br/>UPA candidate Ms. Meira Kumar reached Chennai this evening and met the coalition party leaders and their MPs and MLAs who assembled together in a single venue. The DMK working president MK Stalin, the Congress members and the lone MLA of the Indian Union Muslim League assured her of their unanimous support to her in the July 17 election
