The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for the day as Samajwadi Party, BSP, RJD and others protested against changes in faculty recruitment system in colleges and universities. <br />'' <br />'' When the House met post lunch after an adjournment over the issue and NRC in Assam, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav sought a discussion on 200-point roster system in higher educational institutions. <br />'' <br />'' Deputy Chairman Harivansh, however, said that the issue was allowed to be discussed during the Zero Hour but Samajwadi Party members' protest prevented this from happening at the time. <br />'' <br />'' The Chair appealed to the agitating members in the well to allow discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address to the Joint Sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. <br />'' <br />'' In the meantime, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar allayed apprehensions concerning changes in the roster system. <br />'' <br />'' He said the government will file a review petition in the court and assured that reservation system would not be tinkered with. Amidst noisy scenes, the House was adjourned for the day.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju introduced the 125th Constitution Amendment Bill, 2019.
