Both the Houses of Parliament witnessed repeated adjournments today on different issues. <br/><br/>In the Lok Sabha, Congress members demanded the resignation of the Minister of State for Skill Development Ananta Kumar Hegde for his reported remarks on the Constitution.<br/><br/>Demanding setting up of a High Court in Telangana, Telangana Rashtra Samiti members also trooped to the well of the House and shouted slogans.<br/><br/>Shiv Sena member Arvind Sawant raised the issue of Kulbhushan's family meeting with him in Islamabad on Monday and said religious sensibilities of family members were disregarded. <br/><br/>Same sentiments were expressed by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and TMC member Prof Saugata Roy. External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said she will reply on the issue on Thursday. <br/><br/>In the Rajya Sabha, opposition members continued protests demanding the resignation of Mr Ananta Kumar Hegde. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel said that the government does not subscribe to the statement by Mr Hegde. He said the government has full faith in the Constitution.<br/><br/>Earlier, when the House met for the day, the issue was raised by the Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad, who demanded the resignation of the Minister. <br/><br/>He said that Mr Hegde has no right to continue as a Minister when he does not have faith in the Constitution.

Both Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till 2 P.M. following uproar by the members of the parties opposing the Women's Reservation Bill although they adopted different strategies by taking up different issues. In the Rajya Sabha where the Women's Reservation Bill is scheduled to be taken up for consideration today, the members belonging to the Samajwadi Party and RJD raised pitch over the delay in the implementation of the recommendations of Ranganath Mishra Commission Report on linguistic and religious minorities. <br/><br/>The House was first adjourned till noon and later till 2 P.M. in the midst of noisy scenes with members continuing their sloganeering to press their demand. In the Lok Sabha, members of these parties created noisy scenes over the Women's Reservation Bill as well as Ranganath Mishra Report. As soon as the House assembled for the day Members belonging to Samajwadi Party and RJD trooped into the well of the house demanding the Bill in the present form to be withdrawn. <br/><br/>The Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar adjourned the house till noon when the unrelenting members continued sloganeering in the well of the house. When the House reassembled, the members belonging to SP and RJD were up on the feet again shouting slogans. Two Bills were introduced even as the noisy scenes continued. The House was adjourned till 2 P.M. when the members continued with their sloganeering in the well of the house. <br/><br/><br/>Earlier, both the houses of Parliament resolved to collectively work towards gender equality and women's empowerment on the International Women's Day. The Lok Sabha Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar said that although much progress has been made, a great deal needs to be done to end discrimination against women. Pointing to the women having less access to the basic health care, education, employment and decision-making, Mrs. Kumar said that there is an urgent need to address the disparities. Citing from the United Nations statistics, the Speaker said the girls are being denied the benefits of the inclusive growth and development. She expressed concern over the exceptionally high maternal mortality rate, female foeticide, dowry deaths, honour killing of girls and growing violence women.<br/><br/>Expressing similar sentiments, the Rajya Sabha Chairman, Mohammed Hamid Ansari said that it is the duty of every one to focus on issues of domestic violence, societal evils and illiteracy, especially from the rural background. He said that women should be protected at all costs to ensure continuous progress.<br/>
