Both Houses of Parliament witness disruptions by opposition; Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 PM

Both Houses of Parliament today witnessed disruption by opposition parties over the Adani Group issue. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 PM while Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon.<br />''<br />''In the Rajya Sabha, when the House reassembled after the first adjournment at 12 Noon, opposition members including Congress, AAP, DMK, RJD, BRS, Left and others again created noisy scenes.<br />''<br />''Members of the Aam Aadmi Party trooped into the well. Amid the noisy scene, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar tried to run the Question Hour but in vain. Later, the House was adjourned until 2 PM.<br />''<br />''Earlier, when the House met for the day in the morning, the Chairman disallowed the adjournment notices moved by the opposition parties. He said, the notices are not in order and conformity of the rules. Opposition parties created ruckus demanding discussion on the Adani Group issue.<br />''<br />''Mr. Dhankhar said, disrupting the proceedings is against the parliamentary procedure. He expressed concern over the wastage of precious time of the House. Dissatisfied with the continued protest, he warned action against the protesting members. Amid ruckus, the House was adjourned till 12 Noon.<br />''<br />''In Lok Sabha, when the House met in morning, Congress, DMK and other opposition party leaders tried to raise the issue which was disallowed. Speaker Om Birla said, the people of the country want the House to function. But opposition parties kept raising their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the matter.
