Both Houses of Parliament welcome high-level delegation from Bhutan

Both the Houses of Parliament welcomed a high level Parliamentary delegation from Bhutan and exuded confidence that the visit further strengthen the friendly relations between India and Bhutan. The visiting delegation is led by Bhutanese National Assembly Speaker Jigme Zangpo and Chairperson of the National Council of Parliament of Bhutan Dr Sonam Kinga. Welcoming the delegation seated in the Special Box of the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari expressed confidence that the visit will further strengthen the ties between the two nations. He said the visit will help the delegation to understand the Parliamentary practices, people and the Indian culture. Making an announcement in the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan recalled the good relations between the two neighbouring countries and wished a fruitful stay.
