Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till noon following pandemonium over the price rise issue. In the Lok Sabha, soon after the House assembled for the day, the Leader of Opposition, Mrs Sushma Swaraj said that the Speaker, Mrs Meira Kumar, rejected the notice for suspension of Question Hour to discuss the issue. She said the opposition has now given notice for a discussion under Rule 184 which entails voting, but the government is not responding. On the Other hand, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal said that the opposition has not allowed the house to run for the last three days. He said the government is ready to discuss any issue. However, as ruckus continued in the house with many members sloganeeering in the well of the house, the Speaker adjourned the house till 12 'o' clock. The Rajya Sabha, which also witnessed similar scenes, was adjourned minutes after it met for the day.
