Both Houses of Parliament adjourned till noon

Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned till noon today after the opposition sought Delhi Chief Minister's resignation following her indictment by the CAG in the Commonwealth Games projects. The issue was raised in the Lok Sabha by the main opposition BJP and JDU whose members wanted immediate action against Mrs. Sheila Dikshit in the wake of the CAG report. The members of the Samajwadi Party and BSP also came into the well raising slogans. While SP members were demanding the arrest of the UP Minister Awadh Pal Singh Yadav for his alleged involvement in murder cases, the BSP members stood in defence of the minister.In the Rajya Sabha, the opposition members raised the same demand leading to the adjournment of the house.The NDA parliamentary party under the chairmanship of Mr. L.K. Advani met on Monday morning to finalise the strategy for this week in Parliament. The opposition has taken a serious view of the statement made by Sports Minister Ajay Maken on the Commonwealth Games in Parliament.
