Both Houses of Parliament adjourned for the day

The stalemate on 27th March 2023, Monday continued in both Houses of Parliament for the tenth consecutive day on the issues of the Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani Group matter and other issues. Both Houses have been adjourned for the day.<br />'' <br />''In Lok Sabha, when the House reassembled at 4 PM after the first adjournment, Opposition members again trooped into the well of the House and continued sloganeering pressing their demand. The House approved the Finance Bill 2023 as amended by Rajya Sabha amid the din. Lok Sabha cleared the Finance Bill last week and it was sent to Rajya Sabha. As the protest continued, the Presiding Officer adjourned the House for the day. <br />'' <br />''Earlier, when the House met this morning, members from Congress, DMK and others started raising slogans over their demand for a JPC probe into the Adani Group matter, alleged misuse of central agencies and other issues. Members from Congress, DMK and some other Opposition party members were seen wearing black outfits to register their protest. Amid pandemonium, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the House till 4 PM.<br />'' <br />''In Rajya Sabha when the House met after the first adjournment at 2 PM, members from Congress and Aam Aadmi Party again trooped into the well raising their demand. Members from TMC, BRS, DMK, Left and others were on their feet. Amid the ruckus, the House returned the Finance Bill 2023, the Appropriation Bills 2023 and Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bills 2023 with a voice vote without discussion. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed his disappointment over the continuous disruptions in the House. He said, 10 hours were allocated for discussion on the Bills which could not take place. He reiterated that the House is for debate and discussion. As pandemonium continued, he adjourned the House for the day.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In the morning, when the Upper House assembled for the day, members from opposition parties including Congress, DMK, TMC, BRS and others protested over the issue. Treasury bench members also reiterated their demand for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's apology for his remarks on Indian democracy. Opposition members were seen wearing black outfits in the House. Amid the din, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar adjourned the House till 2 PM.</span>

<span style="color: #222222;">Both Houses of Parliament have been adjourned for the day after the presentation of the Union Budget 2023-24. After the presentation of the Budget in the Lok Sabha, the Finance Bill, 2023 was also introduced in the House. Later, the Union Budget was tabled in the Rajya Sabha.</span><br />

Both Houses of Parliament adjourned for the day

Both Houses of  the Parliament were adjourned for the day amid the uproar by the Opposition parties over demand of sacking of Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra.<br />''<br />'' As the Lok Sabha met for the day after the first adjournment at 2PM, the opposition parties including Congress, TMC and DMK started sloganeering and trooped into the well over their demand. Presiding Officer Bhartruhari Mahtab asked the members to allow the House to function but in vain. Agitating members continued their protest. Amid commotion, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav introduced the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill 2021 in the Lower House. As the uproarious scene continued, the Chair adjourned the House for the day.<br />'' <br />'' The scene was no different in the Upper House. When the Rajya Sabha met after the first adjournment at 2PM, opposition parties started sloganeering and demanded sacking the Minister of State for Home. Opposition parties including Congress, TMC and DMK trooped into the well raising their demand. Deputy Chairman Harivansh asked the members to continue the discussion on  the situation arising out of cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19 virus in the country. Terming it an important matter, Mr. Harivansh asked the agitating members to allow the House to function. As the uproar continued, the Deputy Chairman adjourned the House for the day.<br />'' <br />''Earlier, when the Lok Sabha met for the day, Congress, TMC, and DMK members trooped into the well of the House demanding removal of Ajay Kumar Mishra from the Council of Ministers. The Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla tried to run the Question Hour amid constant sloganeering by the opposition members in the well. When the Speaker allowed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to speak, he demanded Ajay Mishra should be sacked from the council of ministers. The Speaker Om Birla appealed to the agitating members to let the House run. Amid din the Speaker tried to run the Question Hour but in vain.  Amidst the chaotic scene the Speaker adjourned the House till 2 pm.Yesterday also  the issue of SIT report in Lakhimpur Kheri incident rocked the Lower House. In the Rajya Sabha, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge wanted to raise the issue under Rule 267. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu disallowed it and adjourned the House till 2 PM.

Proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament were paralyzed for the sixth day today over several issues, including Rafale aircraft deal. <br />''<br />''The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha witnessed repeated disruptions before adjourning for the day. <br />''<br />''The Lok Sabha saw acrimonious scenes on Rafale, with Opposition and Treasury bench members levelling allegations against each other. As chaotic scenes continued, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House till Wednesday.<br />''<br />''Opposition members in the Rajya Sabha continued their agitation on Rafale and other issues. <br />''<br />''In the pre-lunch session, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad raised the Rafale issue, saying his party has given a privilege notice. <br />''<br />''Responding to this, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said the notice is under his consideration as it pertains to a serious matter. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Amidst heated exchanges between the treasury and opposition benches, the House was adjourned till 2 PM. Both Houses of Parliament adjourned for the day

Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day today following uproarious scenes by opposition Congress members, who demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks against former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha witnessed brief adjournments on the same issue. The issue was raised for the second day in the Rajya Sabha.<br/><br/>The agitating members in both the Houses trooped into the well of the houses forcing their adjournment. <br/><br/>In the Lok Sabha, the issue was raised by Mallikarjun Kharge during the Question Hour. In the Rajya Sabha, Anand Sharma of the Congress raised it as soon as the House met for the day.

Both Houses of Parliament adjourned for the day

Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned for the day after repeated adjournments. The two Houses witnessed uproarious scenes as members from the opposition BJP, SP and BSP trooped into the well pressing for taking up their issues of their concern for discussion. The Lok Sabha was first adjourned till 12 noon, then till 2 P.M and later adjourned for the day. SP members demanded dismissal of the Mayawati government and BSP members' enactment of a new land acquisition law. The Shiv Sena members also joined them after the first adjournment seeking immediate arrest of people responsible for Mumbai terror attacks. In the Rajya Sabha, opposition BJP members wanted to raise the issue of price rise after suspending question hour under a rule which entails voting. They continued to press their demand after the House met after every adjournment. Some opposition members also wanted to take up the corruption issue. This led to adjournment of the House for the day.
