Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day today following continued uproar by Opposition over demonetisation issue.<br/><br/>Despite government's repeated assurances that it is ready for discussion on the issue, Congress members repeatedly trooped into the well of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha shouting slogans against the government.<br/><br/>Some of the BJP members made counter slogans forcing adjournment of both the Houses.<br/><br/>This is for the eighth day proceedings in both the Houses were stalled by Opposition on the issue.<br/><br/>In the Lok Sabha, despite Home Minister Rajnath Singh's assertion that the government's decision on demonetisation cannot be questioned, the opposition continued with their slogans. When the House reassembled at 2 P.M., opposition members raised the same issue and trooped into the well shouting slogans. Amidst noisy scenes, some members raised matters of public importance.<br/><br/>The Rajya Sabha witnessed repeated adjournments on demonetisation issue amidst noisy scenes by Opposition. When the House reassembled at 2 P.M., Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad remarked that the Prime Minister has not come out with any statement on demonitisation of high value currency notes uptil now.<br/><br/>Mr Azad demanded that Mr Modi should be present in both the Houses during discussions.
