Both houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day to pay homage to former Lok Sabha Speaker P.A. Sangma, who passed away this morning in Delhi.<br/>While Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day immediately after paying homage to the departed leader, Rajya Sabha transacted its scheduled business till 1.00 pm.<br/><br/>Conceding to the request made by leader of Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and other leaders, Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari adjourned the house for the post-lunch session. He said, this is being done as a one-time relaxation, though Sangma was not a sitting member of Upper House.
