Both Houses of Parliament adjourned amidst uproar on the IPL Kochi controversy

The Parliament has been adjourned for the day following continuing uproars from the opposition parties seeking removal of Minister of State for External Affairs Mr Shashi Tharoor from the council of ministers. <br/><br/>The Opposition parties have been demanding removal of Mr Tharoor for his alleged involvement in IPL Kochi team franchise controversy. <br/><br/>Earlier, as the Lok Sabha met at 2 pm, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal alleged that the opposition is holding the Parliament to ransom. <br/><br/>Despite of his repeated appeals to allow the Lok Sabha to take up Private Members Bills, the Opposition refused to relent and continued to raise slogans forcing the adjournment of the House for the day. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day on the same issue when it assembled at 12 noon after first adjournment.<br/>
