Both the Houses of Parliament today condoled the death of more than 100 persons in the boat tragedy due to cyclonic storm over the river Brahmaputra in Assam. Making a reference in the Lok Sabha, Speaker Meira Kumar said, over 200 others are missing in the tragedy that involved a double-decker ferry.
In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari observed that the loss of so many innocent lives is indeed tragic and unfortunate.
