Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till noon today as the BJP-led opposition stalled the proceedings in support of their demand for resignation of Prime Minister on alleged irregularities in allocation of coal blocks.

In the Lok Sabha, as soon as the House assembled BJP members supported by AIADMK and TDP members rushed into the well shouting slogans. Speaker Mrs Meira Kumar adjourned the House as the din continued.

The Rajya Sabha also witnessed uproar on the same issue. Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari's repeated appeals to the members to maintain calm went unheeded. Before adjourning the House, the Chairman asked the leaders of political parties and groups to meet him in his chamber.
