Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for one hour till noon today with the Shiromani Akali Dal members demanding a probe by a Special Investigation Team under the supervision of the Supreme Court into the 1984 riots in Delhi. Earlier, the Lok Sabha was adjourned for half-an hour. As the Lok Sabha reassembled at 1130, BJP members again trooped into the well shouting slogans against Pakistan over the death of the Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh in Lahore. Displaying placards, Shiromani Akali Dal members also rushed to the well in support of their demand. They also called for chargesheeting Sajjan Kumar for his role in the Delhi riots. As the noisy scenes continued, Presiding Officer Thambidurai adjourned till noon. The BJP members in the Rajya Sabha trooped into the well demanding the Prime Minister’s resignation on the coal blocks allocation issue. Shouting slogans, the Samajwadi Party members also rushed into the well protesting against the Chinese incursion in the Indian territory of Ladakh. As the uproar continued, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari adjourned the House for an hour till noon.
