Both Houses adjourned over sugarcane price issue

The sugar cane issue once again rocked the Parliament leading to the adjournment of both the Houses for the day. The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the second day on the issue twice after laying the papers while the Rajya Sabha was adjourned thrice. The trouble started in both the Houses right from the moment they assembled for the day with the unrelenting opposition members raising pitch on the sugar cane price issue. They wanted suspension of the question hour which was not agreed to by the Presiding officer of both the Houses. This led to the opposition members rushing to the well of the House shouting slogans. <br/><br/>AIR Parliamentary correspondent reports that the government has convened a meeting of all political parties on Monday to discuss the issue. <br/> <br/>
