In Mumbai, both factions of Shiv Sena would be making out the most from the Dusshera festival that will be celebrated tomorrow, October 5.
''
''As per tradition, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena will be organizing its annual congregation called 'Dasra Melava' at the famous Shivaji Park ground. While the Eknath Shinde-led political outfit which also claims to be the real Shiv Sena will be holding its first Dasra Melava at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra-Kurla Complex. Our Mumbai correspondent has filed this report'
''
''The Dusshera festival that will be celebrated tomorrow assumes huge significance from the point of view of Maharashtra politics. It will be a clash of titans in a real sense as friends turned foes will be trying to score the brownie points over one another. It is noteworthy to mention that there are more similarities than distinctions if one takes a look at both the factions of Shiv Sena.
''
''From political icon in the form of Sena founder late Balasaheb Thackeray to the party's symbol and also both espousing the issue of Hindutva. Nonetheless, the bitterness and trading of barbs against each other present a different picture in the minds of people who want nothing but positive change in their lives.
''
''The twin Dasra festival also comes at a time when the bye-election for the Andheri East Assembly constituency will take place on the 3rd of November. The bypoll has been necessitated due to the demise of Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke in May this year. The Thackeray-led faction of Sena is likely to field the deceased MLA's wife, Rutuja Latke for the bypoll. While, Shinde-faction is likely to leave this seat for ally BJP.
