Border Roads Organisation conducts BRO Motorcycle Expedition

Border Roads Organisation is conducting an India@75 BRO Motorcycle Expedition from 14th of October to 27th of December, touching all corners of the country to spread awareness of contribution of BRO in nation-building as part of celebrations for Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off the expedition from Delhi on 14th of the last month.<br />''<br />''The motorcycle expedition reached Itanagar yesterday. It was flagged off from Itanagar by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein at a function held at Raj Bhawan helipad today. The expedition will cover 20,000 kms over 75 days with more than 75 riders of all ranks of BRO. The expedition will be finally flagged in Delhi on 27th of December.<br />''<br />''BRO officials have informed that the expedition will have both social and military themes. It aims to motivate youth to join the elite BRO and also to interact with Gallantry Awardees, ESM and War Widows enroute. It also aims to spread the accomplishments of the Nation towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat through several public outreach programmes including Medical Camps, Swachh Bharat Initiatives, Road Safety Campaigns, Visiting Old Age Homes and Orphanages.<br />''<br />''This expedition is being conducted in seven legs. Arunachal Pradesh is being crossed in Leg-3 which commenced at Siliguri on 5th of November and will finish at Doomdooma, Assam on Sunday.
