In Uttar Pradesh, the government has announced bonus for its group 'D' employees for the year of 2010-2011. As per the decision taken by the Chief Minister, group 'D' staff will get bonus equivalent to 30 days of wages with a maximum limit of 3,500 rupees.Our Lucknow correspondent reports that over 15 lakh state government employees will benefit by this decision. It will create an additional financial burden of 506 crore rupees on the exchequer.Along with regular employees and teachers, local bodies’ staff and casual daily wagers would also get the bonus.
