Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has said that all who are accountable for the Central Bank bond issue should take the responsibility in this regard while reiterating to fulfill the pledge given to the people to eradicate fraud and corruption from the country. <br/><br/>Addressing a function in capital Colombo on Wednesday, the President said that the rule of law should be equal for every citizen and the enforcing the law against the wrongdoers should also be done in a proper manner. <br/><br/>His comments came as country's Prime Minister Ranil Wicremsinghe is to appear before the bond commission for testimony in the case. <br/><br/>Though the parties led by President and Prime minister have formed unity government at the centre, they will be contesting the local government polls separately. <br/><br/>Both parties have been trading charges at each other for the problems and failures of government. The President asserted that even though, few people in the government leveled allegations and criticisms against him for appointing the Bond Commission, he appointed it to ensure fair justice and good governance.
