<span style="color: #222222;">The Bombay High Court today directed to transfer communist leader Govind Pansare's murder investigation from Special Investigation Team of Maharashtra Police to Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad.<br />''<br />''Pansare and his wife were attacked on 16th February 2015 by gun-wielding assailants in Kolhapur district. He later died of his injuries on 20th of February. Pansare's kin had sought transfer of probe alleging that no efforts were made to reach the real masterminds so far.<br />''<br />''During the hearing, Justice Revati Dere said that she will be passing an order transferring the investigation from the SIT to the ATS. She also said that a few officers from the SIT will also be transferred to ATS for continuity of the investigation.<br />''<br />''Talking to AIR, Govind Pansare's daughter-in law Megha Pansare said, the request to set up an SIT to investigate the case was made in February 2015 in the Bombay High Court as there was no headway in the probe. Later, the then government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced setting up of SIT. Despite setting up the SIT, there was no progress in the investigation as neither the culprits who were involved in the crime were nabbed nor the weapons used by them in the murder were seized.<br />''<br />''Ms. Pansare said that on 20th of April this year, a demand to transfer the case to Maharashtra ATS was formally made to the Bombay High Court. She also said that they have requested the court to direct the CBI which is investigating the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar to co-operate with the Maharashtra ATS in the Pansare murder case.</span><br />
