The Bombay High Court today stayed the ban on sale of meat in Mumbai on September 17th, but refused to interfere with the ban on slaughter of animals on that given date.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, days after NCP, Shiv Sena and MNS took to the streets to lodge their protest over the ban on sale of meat, the Bombay High Court today stayed the ban on sale of meat.<br/><br/>The Bombay high court stated that though state government circular banning meat sale on two days was issued in 2004, it was never implemented fully.<br/><br/>Last week, the controversial four-day meat ban was imposed in Mumbai for the Jain festival, Paryushan.<br/><br/>Later on Friday Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai – MCGM decided to reduce the ban to just two days.<br/><br/>Accordingly, there would be no meat ban in Mumbai on 13th and 18th September while the sale was prohibited on Ganesh Chaturthi that falls on 17th September.<br/>
