Bombay HC reserves order over PIL in J Dey Murder case

Bombay High Court, hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a CBI probe into the murder of senior journalist Jyotirmoy Dey today reserved its order after hearing the arguments of Maharashtra Government.Opposing CBI probe into the case, Advocate General Ravi Kadam argued that the Crime Branch of city police has probed the matter. The investigation is almost coming to an end. The stringent provisions of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) have been applied against the eight arrested accused.Veteran journalist J Dey was shot dead on the 11th of June in Hiranandani area of suburban Powai.
