Bombay HC rejects Lalit Modi's petition

A division bench of the Bombay High Court today rejected a petition by suspended Indian Premier League Commissioner, Lalit Modi seeking to stay the Disciplinary Committee proceedings of the BCCI against him. Mr. Modi facing charges of financial irregularities will now have to appear before the three member disciplinary committee in Mumbai tomorrow. The Bench refused all the three pleas of Mr. Modi including a stay of teh committee hearing, reversal of the suspension order against him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India and recasting of the disciplinary panel with independent members.
