Bombay HC rejects Kasab’s petition for ossification test

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday rejected Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab's petition for his ossification test for confirming his age and for verification about whether he is juvenile or not. Justice Ranjana Desai and Ranjit More also came down heavily upon the defence for making such a petition when the hearing was at final stage. Kasab's lawyers Amin Solkar and Farhana Shah had filed two separate petitions-one seeking to determine his age and the other to know his mental state- before justices Ranjana Desai and Ranjit More who said they would hear the issues on Tuesday. This is the second time Kasab had raised the plea of being a juvenile. In the trial court earlier, he had argued that he was a minor and was put to ossification test which determined that he was above 20 years and a major.
