Bombay High Court prohibited court employees in Maharashtra, from continuing the strike. The Court said government employees can not hold society for “ransom”.

A total of 40,000 Class-C staff of the lower courts in the state resorted to indefinite strike yesterday by abstaining from work demanding better salaries and administrative changes.

The matter was mentioned before the high court in which it directed the employees to call off their strike immediately.
