<span style="color: #222222;">The Bombay High court has today directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra government and Centre to reply to a plea alleging shortage of beds, medicines and oxygen for COVID-19 patients.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A division bench of chief justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni was hearing a public interest litigation filed by an advocate. The PIL pointed out availability of beds for COVID 19 patients, Remdesivir injections, oxygen, RT PCR tests, and rapid antigen tests.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The petitioner informed the court that BMC run hospitals are denying rapid antigen tests without a doctor's prescription. He alleged that despite shortage of beds celebrities and politicians  get admitted in hospitals  promptly.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The court observed that the issues raised are serious and directed the civic body, State and Centre to file their replies. The matter will be heard on 22nd April.</span><br />
