Bombay HC criticises CBI & CID for shoddy probe in Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare murder cases

The Bombay High Court today severely criticised CBI and the CID for its shoddy probe in Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare murder cases. <br/><br/>Unimpressed by the status reports, the division bench of Justices S C Dharmadhikari and Shalini Phansalkar Joshi noted that the probe agencies were being naive. The court directed CBI and CID to expedite the probe.<br/><br/>Stating that the murder cases were sensitive and required careful investigation, the court rebuked the CBI for divulging details regarding the probe to the media. The court has now asked CBI to submit the investigation report within 6 weeks.<br/><br/>In Pansare murder case, the court asked Maharashtra Government whether it has decided to seek a CBI probe in his case too.
