Bombay HC adjourns till 7th July

The Bombay High Court today adjourned till 7th July, the hearing of death confirmation in the August 2003 Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazar (twin) bomb blasts case . A division bench of Justices B H Marlapalle and Abhay Thipsay had fixed June 13 to start hearing on the confirmation of capital punishment granted to three accused Mohammed Hanif Sayed, his wife Fahimida M.H. Sayed and their associate Ashrat Shafique Ansari. The blasts had killed more than 50 people and injured 100 others. This is the second biggest death confirmation hearing of 2011. On February 21, the high court had confirmed death penalty for Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of November 26, 2008, attacks on the city.
