In Afghanistan, three policemen were killed and six others injured when a bomb planted on a minibus exploded. Officials said the blast took place in Jalalabad today as the bus was traveling to a police training facility. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Meanwhile, NATO said Afghan and coalition forces killed 17 insurgents yesterday while searching for an al-Qaeda leader in Kunar province.
