In Pakistan, at least five persons were killed and eight others injured in an explosion at a house in Karachi on Friday. Police said, the blast occurred at a one-room house located near Babri mosque in Baldia town area of Karachi at around 8.15 am. Police and security forces cordoned off the area and bomb disposal squad carried out a search. Suicide jackets, grenades and weapons were found in the house which was rented out to unidentified persons. Police are trying to trace the owner of the house.The injured have been taken to nearby Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The blast smashed windows of nearby houses in the congested area.
