Bomb blast in minibus kills eight in Iraq

In Iraq, eight people have been killed and eight others wounded in two separate incidents today. According to voice of Iraq news agency six civilians were killed and two other injured when an explosive charge went off north of Diwaniya province. The agency quoting local security sources has reported that incident occurred when a sticky improvised explosive device (IED) hit a bus coming from Babel province in al-Saneyya district. Diwaniya is the capital city of Diwaniya province, which is situated 180 km south of Baghdad. In a separate incident two emergency policemen were killed and six others were injured in a suicide bombing that targeted their base near Ramadi city. A suicide bomber driving a tanker rigged with explosives detonated himself near an emergency police base, west of Ramadi area. Ramadi, the capital city of Anbar province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
