In Manipur, a powerful bomb, allegedly planted by unknown militants, exploded at the premises of a government office in interior Bishenpur district in the early hours on Thursday. Police said no casualty was reported in the explosion. The bomb went off at around 2.20 am at Loktak Development Authority office complex at Ningthoukhong area, about 40 km south of imphal. Machine and parts of the office building were damaged in the explosion. No one has so claimed responsibility.
