At least eight persons have been killed and 10 injured in a bomb blast at Khoyathong at Imphal on Friday night.

Police sources said, the blast took place at Khoyathong under City Police Station in Imphal West.

The bomb was reportedly hurled by some unknown miscreants at a temporary shed where some non-local labourers are staying for the last few days.

Police rushed to the spot just after the blast and conducted search operation.

All the injured labourers have been hospitalized at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital at Lamphelpat in Imphal.
