The body of Polish President Lech Kaczynski was today flown off to Warsaw with full military honours, after a sombre farewell ceremony attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. <br/><br/>The special aircraft of the Polish airforce, carrying the late President's body took off for Warsaw from the Smolensk airport where the Soviet-era Tu-154 plane carrying the 96 people strong Polish presidential delegation was attempting to land in dense fog before it crashed. <br/><br/>The rest of the bodies have been brought to Moscow on board two helicopters for identification by their relatives.<br/><br/>Poland is swept by a wave of grief and mourners turned out in tens of thousands, many waving the red and white Polish flag, lighting candles and placing flowers at the presidential palace.<br/><br/>In Warsaw and other Polish cities, thousands poured onto the streets to express their grief over the disaster .
