Bodo tribes celebrate ‘Baisagu’ with traditional gaiety in Assam

The Bodo tribes living in Assam celebrated their spring festival ‘Baisagu’ with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm on Saturday. Attractive cultural programmes and tribal dances marked the occasion in four Bodo-dominated districts of Kokrajhar, Udalguri, Baksa and Chirang. While in rest parts of the State, the people celebrated Rongali Bihu to welcome the Assamese New Year 1419 which began today.
