Bodies of six Indians killed in Kabul suicide attack brought back

Bodies of six Indians killed in a suicide attack in Kabul, were brought to New Delhi by a special Aircraft of Indian Air Force last evening from Afghanistan. Talking to AIR, IAF Spokesman Tarun Kumar Singha said that 8 persons, who were injured in the attack, were also brought for medical treatment. In all, 17 people were killed in the attack. President Pratibha Patil, who was returning from Pune, offered floral tributes to the victims at the Palam Technical Area, where the aircraft had landed. She also spoke to the relatives of the victims. A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said that the President upon landing came to know about the arrival of the bodies from Kabul and waited for about ten minutes and placed a wreath. The injured persons were taken to Army Hospital for treatment. Ten people, including five Indian Army officers, were injured in the strike. Our correspondent reports that a team of army officers and officials from the Ministry of External Affairs have gone to Kabul to review the security situation there in the backdrop of the attacks. <br/><br/>
