Bodies of 17 army personnel killed in Kashmir avalanche recovered

In Jammu and Kashmir, the rescue operation of avalanche mishap is over. According to Defence sources, no one is missing now and only one team of the camp was hit by avalanche.<br/><br/>In all, there were 450 personnel in the camp. Earlier, the avalanche had hit an army high altitude warfare school at Khilan Marg.<br/><br/>In this tragic incident, 17 army personnel including a Lt.Colonel got killed and 17others who were injured have been rescued and brought to Srinagar on Monday. <br/><br/>The Defence Minister Mr. AK Antony has expressed deep anguish at the tragic loss of lives of many army personnel due to a massive avalanche in Jammu & Kashmir.<br/><br/>In a message, he conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He also asked the army and local authorities to intensify the rescue operations and provide all possible medical aid to the injured.
