After several decades, the boat service between India and Sri Lanka resumed with the first ferry docking in Colombo early this morning. Scotia Prince on her maiden voyage from Tuticorin to Colombo docked at the harbour with around 200 passengers on board. Indian High Commissioner Ashok K Kantha along with other Sri Lankan officials were present on the arrival of the ferry from India.The luxury liner has a capacity of more than 1000 people. It is a cheaper alternative to the airlines, with each passenger being allowed 100kgs of luggage.
