In Andhra Pradesh, at least 10 persons drowned and 40 others were missing after a boat overturned in river Godavari today. The country-made boat ferrying about 40-50 persons overturned at around 6.30 hours this morining in the river near Biyyaputeppa village in West Godavari district. The Superintendent of Police B. Balakrishna said, that so far ten bodies have been retrieved. He said, the family members of the victims, hailing from nearby villagers, are at the accident site, about 30 kms from Biyyaputeppa. Rescue operations have been launched to trace the missing persons.
